Job summary

2gether Support Solutions is seeking a Domestic Assistant to join our NHS hospital team in East Kent. You will help keep patient areas clean, safe and hygienic, following infection control protocols and contributing to a welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors.

No prior experience required as full training is provided; a DBS check may be required. The role offers shift patterns 11am-7pm and 2pm-10pm, with a 2-week rota and a benefits package.

2gether Support Solutions is a Facilities and Estates services company providing support to healthcare professionals caring for over 2000 patients daily across multiple East Kent hospital sites. 2gether provides vital services including maintenance, cleaning, catering, procurement, logistics and much more. This is a Full-Time Fixed-Term Contract from November 2026 to March 2027, working 37.5 hours per week on a 2-week rolling rota across 11am-7pm and 2pm-10pm shifts: Week 1: Monday-Tuesday (2pm-10pm), Wednesday (11am-7pm), Friday - Sunday (2pm-10pm) Week 2: Monday (2pm-10pm), Wednesday (11am-7pm), Thursday - Friday (2pm-10pm)

The Role:

Domestic assistants are more than just a cleaner, they are the lifeblood of the NHS and an integral part of the team, keeping hospitals, health centres, offices and other areas clean and hygienic. No previous experience is required and training will be provided inline with the BICS accreditation. We will cover costs for a DBS check if required for the role. You will maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hospital, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Main duties

The Person:

You will be physically fit, able to perform tasks requiring lifting, standing, and moving for extended periods. They should have high standards of cleanliness and hygiene with keen attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills, dependability with excellent punctuality, and flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, are essential. Basic literacy and numeracy skills are also required to follow instructions and complete necessary documentation. A proficient level of reading, verbal, and written English is required for this role to ensure effective communication and job performance.
