Job summary

North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Foundation Trust is seeking three Domestic Assistants for Warrington Hospital to maintain high cleanliness standards. Responsibilities include operating cleaning equipment and ensuring proper storage of materials.

The posts are part-time (25 hours per week), 7am to 12pm, Monday to Friday, within the NHS Band 2 framework at Warrington Hospital.

Qualifications

  • Cleaning experience in a hospital environment.
  • Basic IT skills for e-learning.
  • Customer care awareness.
  • Vocational qualification level 2 or NCFE/BICS.
  • Health and safety level 1.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out cleaning tasks and operate equipment such as buffing machines and vacuum cleaners.
  • Move cleaning equipment and maintain stock levels.
  • Ensure correct use, security and storage of cleaning materials.

Job overview

We are seeking 3 Domestic Assistants to work at Warrington Hospital, who will maintain high standards of cleanliness in-line with Trust cleaning protocols. You will communicate with colleagues in connection with your own job role and ensure a close working relationship with Ward/Departmental Housekeeper.

Monday to Friday 7am to 12pm

Main duties of the job

You will carry out cleaning tasks, operating machinery, e.g., buffing machine, vacuum cleaner, moving of buckets of water and cleaning equipment to meet the needs of the area. You will be responsible for the correct use, security and storage of own equipment and cleaning materials, ensuring stock levels are maintained and used appropriately.
