Job summary

North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Domestic Assistant to cover 20 hours per week, predominantly Monday to Friday evenings (5pm–9pm) at Halton Hospital in Runcorn. The role involves maintaining high cleaning standards in line with Trust protocols, operating basic cleaning equipment and collaborating with Ward/Departmental housekeeping staff.

Full training will be provided; prior cleaning experience is desirable.

We are seeking a Domestic Assistant to work at various hours at Halton Hospital, who will maintain high standards of cleanliness in-line with Trust cleaning protocols. You will communicate with colleagues in connection with your own job role and ensure a close working relationship with Ward/Departmental Housekeepers

Main duties of the job

You will carry out cleaning tasks, operating machinery, e.g., buffing machine, vacuum cleaner, moving of buckets of water and cleaning equipment to meet the needs of the area. You will be responsible for the correct use, security and storage of own equipment and cleaning materials, ensuring stock levels are maintained and used appropriately.
