£12.36 per hour, 37.5 hours per week

We are offering a new opportunity for a Domestic Assistant to join the Medirest team. We are seeking dedicated individuals to provide outstanding cleaning services for patients, visitors, and staff at the hospital.

As a Domestic Assistant, you will play a vital role in infection control, helping to keep the hospital safe and operational. Your work will directly impact the quality of medical services we provide. This isn't just any cleaning job—it's a role that makes a real difference.

Shift Pattern

5 days out of 7, including:

• High and low dusting, mopping, wiping, and scrubbing surfaces.
• Cleaning wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, infected and public areas.
• Maintaining rubbish bins and removing waste when full.
• Ensuring all areas are clean, presentable, and safe, following hospital policies and procedures.
• Using equipment safely and in accordance with Health & Safety guidelines.

Person Specification

• Passionate about patient care, with effective communication skills with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
• Ability to work under pressure, independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to meet the needs of the hospital.
• Comfortable working in a hospital environment, aware that you may come into contact with unwell or distressed patients.
• No previous experience as a Domestic Assistant required; pride in your work and willingness to learn are most important.
• This role is subject to a Disclosure & Barring Service check, with costs covered by the employer.
