Job summary

Valley House in Coventry is seeking a Domestic Abuse Practitioner to join our Domestic Abuse Service. The role offers a salary of £28,000 per year with on-call payments and a contributory pension scheme, plus 26 days of annual leave and bank holidays.

You will support residents in our supported accommodation, manage caseloads, and deliver group work for survivors of domestic abuse. The successful candidate will have extensive relevant experience, be able to work independently and in a team, and

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in domestic abuse or related area.
• Experience with vulnerable individuals and children.
• Experience assessing needs and risks of vulnerable people.
• Experience of caseload management and one-to-one work.
• Experience of multi-agency partnership work.
• Good record keeping and report writing.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload within the supported accommodation service.
• Provide resettlement support for service users moving to own accommodation.
• Lead on a specific under-represented group (e.g. Global Majority, Males, LGBTQ+, older people).
• Deliver group work programmes and contribute to service development.
