Job summary

Southern Domestic Abuse Service in Test Valley is seeking a part-time Housing Support Worker to provide high-quality crisis intervention, information, advocacy and proactive support to victims/survivors who access the Housing and Homelessness Service.

You will work with colleagues to share knowledge and develop responses to victims and survivors through training sessions, including colocated arrangements with the council, and provide resettlement support for those moving on from Stop Domestic

Responsibilities

• Working within domestic abuse dispersed accommodation provided by the local authority providing support to the victim/survivor
• Providing high-quality crisis intervention, information, advocacy, and proactive support to victims / survivors who access the Housing and Homelessness Service
• Working with colleagues to increase knowledge and develop responses to victims and survivors of domestic abuse through formal and informal training sessions, this includes colocation within the council.
• Providing resettlement support to victims of domestic abuse moving on from Stop Domestic Abuse safe acccommodation
• Supporting victims to understand their housing options to aid in the prevention/relief of homelessness and access or maintain suitable, safe accommodation.
