Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Domain Architect – Digital Backbone and Digital Employee Experience to own target architectures, long-term roadmaps and the investment story underpinning all platforms. You will shape direction, ensure designs are funded and aligned with governance, and collaborate with architecture boards, security and service owners.

The role is hybrid with travel to sites for workshops, architecture boards, and stakeholder sessions; you will report to the Head of Enterprise

Qualifications

• Domain depth in hosting and datacentre, networking, cloud or platform engineering.
• Multi-year technology roadmap ownership and funding experience.
• Experience producing architecture content behind business cases and run-cost understanding.
• Fluency in architectures methods and artefacts (TOGAF/ArchiMate) applied pragmatically.

Responsibilities

• Own the target state for both domains and convert to a funded multi-year roadmap.
• Assure delivery against the roadmap and raise the standard of architecture practice.
• Provide architecture opinion at governance gates and ensure secure-by-design principles.
• Define and maintain target architecture across Digital Workplace, Network, Cloud and Platform Engineering.
• Contribute to investment planning with cost, run-cost and affordability considerations.
• Mentor domain architects and run domain architecture community of practice.
