Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Domain Architect – Digital Backbone and Digital Employee Experience. You will own the target architecture, craft a funded multi-year roadmap, and assure delivery aligns with the designed and funded plan.

You’ll set direction for architecture governance and investment planning across domains that underpin all business services. You will collaborate with heads of architecture, security, and governance bodies, ensuring the estate remains secure, scalable and affordable

Qualifications

• Domain depth in hosting/datacentre, networking, cloud or platform engineering.
• Ownership of multi-year technology roadmaps with funding and delivery.
• Understanding of cost, run-cost and affordability in architecture.
• Fluency in architecture methods and artefacts (TOGAF/ArchiMate).
• Evidence-based judgement from risk, demand and forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Own the target state for Digital Backbone and Digital Employee Experience domains.
• Convert target state into a funded, sequenced multi-year roadmap.
• Provide architecture content for business cases, stage gates and portfolio submissions.
• Act as standing design authority reviewing high‑level designs and patterns.
• Mentor other architects and lead domain architecture governance.
