Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd seeks a Domain Architect for the Digital Backbone and Digital Employee Experience domains. You will own the target architecture, develop a funded multi-year roadmap, and guide delivery to ensure designs reflect the approved plans.

You will collaborate with the Head of Enterprise Architecture UK, governance boards, and security teams, shaping investment strategy and architecture standards across the estate.

Qualifications

• Current, hands-on grounding in hosting and datacentre, networking, public cloud, platform engineering and digital workplace.
• Proven ownership of a multi-year technology roadmap with funding and delivery.
• Experience producing architecture content behind business cases, with an understanding of cost, run-cost and affordability.
• Fluency in architecture methods and artefacts (TOGAF, ArchiMate or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Own the target state for Digital Backbone and Digital Employee Experience domains and convert it into a funded, sequenced multi-year roadmap.
• Assure delivery against the roadmap and raise the standard of architecture practice across the community that builds it.
• Act as design authority for domain architectures and provide architectural opinions at gates to ensure alignment to the target state and security-by-design principles.
• Lead the domain architecture community of practice, reviews, and shared design library; mentor Solution and Technical Architects.
• Model options and trade-offs (buy/build, cloud/on-prem, refresh/replace) with clear cost, risk and capability impacts.
• Drive investment planning by turning roadmap increments into costed items and contributing to business cases and portfolio submissions.
