National Grid plc in Warwick is seeking a Document Controller to join the Governance, Risk and Controls team. You will support the SharePoint-based DMS, manage document metadata, and ensure information remains accurate, accessible and compliant in a regulated environment.
You'll develop stakeholder management skills while supporting governance across the interconnector portfolio. The role operates with a hybrid model, typically two days in the Warwick office.
At National Grid Interconnectors, we're playing a critical role in delivering the UK's net zero future. Our growing portfolio of High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) interconnectors connects the UK with neighbouring countries, enabling the secure import and export of electricity and supporting a more resilient, sustainable energy system.
Operating 5.8GW of interconnector capacity, our teams are central to the safe and reliable operation of the UK's energy network every day. As we continue to expand and develop new projects, we're looking for a Document Controller to join our Governance, Risk and Controls team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in document control, information management and governance within a highly regulated operational environment. You'll help implement and maintain document control processes within our new SharePoint-based Document Management System (DMS), ensuring critical operational information is managed effectively and remains accessible, accurate and compliant.
Working closely with colleagues across our Interconnector portfolio, you'll develop strong stakeholder management skills while gaining valuable experience supporting a business at the forefront of the energy transition.
We currently operate a hybrid working model and would typically expect you to be in the office based in Warwick around two days per week.
We're looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented and eager to learn. You may already have some experience in document control, administration or information management, or be looking to develop your career in this area.
You'll ideally have:
A competitive salary between £40,706.00 - £44,297.50 per annum– dependent on capability.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. You will also have access to a number of flexible benefits such as a share incentive plan, salary sacrifice car and technology schemes, support via employee assistance lines and matched charity giving to name a few.
This role closes on 27th August 2026 at 23:59, however we encourage candidates to submit their application as early as possible and not wait until the published closing date as this can vary.
