You will be responsible for managing the SAP ERP controls environment across Finance Systems and ERP Security from the UK, providing leadership, operational oversight, and assurance across the US and NGED regions. Ensures controls are effectively designed, consistently executed, quality checked where required, and compliant with SOX requirements, business and financial control expectations, and internal governance standards.

This role is based out of our Warwick office, and we’d hope to see you at least two days per week but you’re welcome to be in the office more often if that would work best for you. We’re happy to discuss any additional flexibility in working patterns or requirements that you feel could help to make this job work for you!

What You'll Do
  • Manage the operation and ongoing effectiveness of a portfolio of 200+ SOX and non-SOX SAP ERP controls across access management, Segregation of Duties, finance systems, business/financial controls, and related control frameworks.
  • Lead and coordinate the Continuous Improvement agenda, prioritising opportunities for process optimisation, control simplification, automation, and innovation, including AI-enabled monitoring and analytics.
  • Lead and manage the offshore third-party providers, providing technical SME support, ensuring clear priorities, effective workload management, service quality, SLA compliance, performance oversight, and strong governance.
  • Provide managerial oversight, independent assurance, and constructive challenge over control design, execution, remediation, audit readiness, and quality of control performance.
  • Get involved directly in operational delivery and quality checking where needed, including reviewing evidence, resolving issues, and supporting consistent control execution across regions.
  • Work with global transformation and project teams to assess control impacts, shape practical control solutions, manage risks, and support successful go-live and transition into BAU across the US and NGED regions.
  • Represent ERP controls with Internal Audit, External Audit, Risk & Controls, Enterprise Business Services, and senior stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, issue resolution, and alignment on control priorities.
  • Use KPIs, dashboards, data, and analytics to monitor control performance, identify trends and risks, track actions, and drive measurable improvement across the full control portfolio.
What You'll Have
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Finance, IT, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant professional qualification or certification desirable, such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CISA, SAP Certification, or SAP GRC.
  • Strong managerial experience in business/financial controls, SOX compliance, SAP controls, SAP Security, and GRC environments, ideally within a large and complex control landscape.
  • Experience managing onshore teams and offshore third-party service providers, including workload prioritisation, service performance, quality oversight, SLA compliance, and governance.
  • Strong understanding of financial control principles, control design, risk mitigation, evidence standards, control operation, and quality assurance expectations across SOX and non-SOX controls.
  • Proven ability to manage control design, assessment, challenge, validation, remediation, and assurance across end-to-end processes, projects, and transformation environments.
  • Strong understanding of SAP roles, authorisations, access management, Segregation of Duties risk management, control frameworks, and risk mitigation approaches.
  • Willingness and ability to engage directly in operational delivery and quality checking when required, while maintaining appropriate managerial oversight.
  • Ability to translate AI, automation, and emerging technology opportunities into practical improvements that support organisational efficiency and control effectiveness.
  • Experience managing relationships with global stakeholders, matrixed delivery teams, and third-party/offshore service providers, ideally across UK, US, and NGED environments.
