A leading utility company is seeking a Distribution Operative in Nottingham. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining the Underground Water network, conducting excavations, and ensuring excellent customer service. This physically demanding role requires a full UK driving license and a commitment to safety. We have an exciting opportunity within our Distribution Service Delivery Team to become a Distribution Operative! Working in this role, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of Severn Trent's Underground Water network. You'll be tasked with the upkeep of our Clean Water Network and any required repairs of our Clean Water Main Assets, furthermore you will be conducting excavation within, public highway on Severn Trent sites and private lands. You'll put the needs of our customers first, responding to and resolving any issues raised by our customers or members of the public. Your stakeholder management skills will also be used to liaise with other departments and our contract partners. Within this role, every day is different, you'll get to undertake the full range of duties involved in delivering an effective repair and maintenance service. Including but not limited to the repair and replacement of existing water mains & ancillary assets, laying and also working on valves, washouts & meters. As our new Distribution Operative, not only will you be operating machinery out on site, you'll also be using up to date technology to help our back office with their data upkeep, so this really is a great opportunity to utilise and develop your skills all round! Within this role you will be part of a rolling 7 week shift pattern (24/7, 365).
