Job summary

ENL Legal Recruitment seeks a Dispute Resolution Solicitor (NQ+ level) to join a highly regarded specialist practice in Manchester. You will work on a mix of contentious and regulatory matters, alongside experienced lawyers on high-profile disputes, including sports/media sectors.

You will advise on arbitration and regulatory proceedings, High Court litigation, and disciplinary investigations, developing expertise in a niche area of litigation while building client relationships and contributing

Qualifications

• Newly Qualified to 4 years' PQE preferred, exceptional candidates outside range considered.
• Qualified Solicitor with right to practise in England & Wales.
• Strong academics and excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience in Dispute Resolution or related contentious practice.
• Interest in developing expertise within a specialist area of litigation.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Collaborative approach with entrepreneurial mindset and business development enthusiasm.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on disputes before specialist dispute resolution and regulatory forums.
• Advise on arbitration and regulatory proceedings, including sports sector matters.
• Handle High Court and other commercial litigation, including media and social media disputes.
• Advise on disciplinary and regulatory investigations and misconduct issues.
• Assist with matters involving anti-doping, regulatory breaches, and integrity issues.
• Advise clubs, players, athletes and agents on contentious matters.
• Develop client relationships and provide clear, commercially focused advice.
• Contribute to business development and growth of the disputes practice.

You’ll work alongside experienced lawyers on complex and high-profile matters, gaining exposure to both commercial litigation and specialist dispute resolution work.

The Role

Working as part of an established team of contentious and regulatory lawyers, you will gain exposure to a broad range of interesting and complex matters, including:

• Advising clients on disputes before a variety of specialist dispute resolution and regulatory forums.
• Advising on arbitration and regulatory proceedings, including matters within the sporting sector.
• Handling High Court and other commercial litigation, including media and social media disputes.
• Advising on disciplinary and regulatory investigations.
• Assisting with matters involving misconduct, anti-doping, regulatory breaches and wider integrity issues.
• Advising clubs, players, athletes and agents on a range of contentious matters.
• Working closely with experienced colleagues on high-profile and technically challenging disputes.
• Developing strong client relationships and providing clear, commercially focused advice.
• Contributing to business development initiatives and helping to grow the wider disputes practice.

About You

Applications are welcomed from Solicitors who can demonstrate:

• Newly Qualified through to 4 years' PQE, although exceptional candidates outside this range will also be considered.
• Qualification as a Solicitor with the right to practise in England & Wales.
• Strong academics and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good experience in Dispute Resolution or a related contentious practice.
• A genuine interest in developing expertise within a specialist area of litigation.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• A collaborative approach, combined with the confidence to take responsibility for your own work.
• An entrepreneurial mindset and enthusiasm for business development.

Experience within sports or media law would be advantageous, but is not essential. The firm is particularly interested in talented contentious lawyers with the ability and ambition to develop specialist expertise.
