Commercial Litigation Solicitor – Manchester

I’m currently working with a highly regarded specialist law firm on an exciting opportunity for a Dispute Resolution Solicitor to join its Manchester team.

The firm operates within the sports and media sectors, advising a range of high-profile clients on complex and often high-profile matters. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Solicitor looking to develop their contentious experience within a genuinely niche and interesting area of law.

The role

Joining an established team of specialist contentious lawyers, you will be involved in a broad range of disputes and regulatory matters, including:

• Advising clients on disputes and regulatory matters within the sports sector
• Handling commercial litigation, including media and social media disputes
• Advising on disciplinary and regulatory investigations
• Working on matters involving sporting governing bodies and dispute resolution forums
• Advising on a range of contentious issues affecting clubs, athletes, agents and other organisations
• Working closely with experienced lawyers and high-profile clients
• Supporting business development and helping to develop the firm's disputes practice

About you

The firm is looking for a Dispute Resolution Solicitor from NQ to 4 PQE, although candidates outside of this range may also be considered where they have the right experience.

You should have:

• Qualified Solicitor status in England & Wales
• Strong academics and excellent communication skills
• Experience within Dispute Resolution/Commercial Litigation
• An interest in sports, media or regulatory work
• Sports and media experience would be advantageous but is not essential
• A commercial and entrepreneurial approach
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
• The ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends where required
