Job summary

The Cohens Group is seeking a Dispensing Technician for a 16-hour part-time role at our Heysham Primary Care Centre branch in Middleton, LA3 2LE. You will receive, assemble and dispense prescriptions, providing knowledgeable, friendly service to customers and supporting pharmacy operations.

You must have NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Pharmacy Services and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council, able to advise on medications, handle complex inquiries under supervision, and help promote new

Responsibilities

• Receive, assemble and dispense prescriptions in a timely manner.
• Advise customers on alternative medicines or care needs where appropriate.
• Handle complex medication enquiries under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Support branch promotions and new services as required.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships with a friendly approach.

12008 40 hour Dispensing Technician Permanent Contract We are looking to recruit a 16 hour Dispensing Technician to work at our 477 branch located at Heysham Primary Care Centre, Middleton Way, Heysham, Morecombe, LA3 2LE. The proposed shift pattern is as follows: Monday 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour unpaid break) Tuesday 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour unpaid break) Wednesday 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour unpaid break) Thursday 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour unpaid break) Friday 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour unpaid break) As a Dispensing Technician you will have successfully completed the NVQ/QCF Level 3 equivalent qualification in Pharmacy Services and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You will have the knowledge and experience to be a multi skilled Dispensing Technician, taking responsible for providing an efficient, knowledgeable and friendly service to our customers, with specific responsibility for carrying out dispensing duties. You will be a senior member of the dispensing team and will be
responsible for receiving, assembling and dispensing prescriptions, advising customers on alternative medicine or care needs where appropriate. You will also have specific accountability for dealing with complex medication enquires on behalf of and under the supervision of a pharmacist. As a trusted healthcare professional, you will be friendly, organised and customer focused with a real passion for people and pharmacy operations. Skills in planning, attention to detail and working under pressure are all key in this position. The successful candidate must be willing to support the branch by promoting new services and products as required. You must be confident to build customer relationships and have the ability to establish their needs. You will be expected to provide friendly advice, whist having excellent product knowledge and services. You must also have the drive and enthusiasm to want to coach others to do the same. The utmost attention to detail is required in this role along
with the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines. The successful candidate must have great people skills as this is paramount to your role.
