Job summary

The Cohens Group is recruiting a 40 hour Dispensing Technician for our Heysham branch at Heysham Primary Care Centre. You will be responsible for receiving, assembling and dispensing prescriptions, and advising customers on care options.

As a senior member of the dispensing team you will coach others, handle complex medication enquiries under supervision and promote new services and products to customers while delivering friendly, accurate pharmacy service.

Qualifications

• NVQ/QCF Level 3 equivalent qualification in Pharmacy Services.
• Experience in dispensing processes and customer service.
• Ability to work as part of a senior dispensing team.

12012 - 40 hour Dispensing Technician - Permanent Contract We are looking to recruit a 40 hour Dispensing Technician to work at our 477 branch located at Heysham Primary Care Centre, Middleton Way, Heysham, Morecombe, LA3 2LE. The proposed shift pattern is as follows: Monday 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour unpaid lunch break) Tuesday 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour unpaid lunch break) Wednesday 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour unpaid lunch break) Thursday 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour unpaid lunch break) Friday 09:00 - 18:00 (1 hour unpaid lunch break) As a Dispensing Technician you will have successfully completed the NVQ/QCF Level 3 equivalent qualification in Pharmacy Services and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You will have the knowledge and experience to be a multi skilled Dispensing Technician, taking responsible for providing an efficient, knowledgeable and friendly service to our customers, with specific responsibility for carrying out dispensing duties. You will be a senior member of
the dispensing team and will be responsible for receiving, assembling and dispensing prescriptions, advising customers on alternative medicine or care needs where appropriate. You will also have specific accountability for dealing with complex medication enquires on behalf of and under the supervision of a pharmacist. As a trusted healthcare professional, you will be friendly, organised and customer focused with a real passion for people and pharmacy operations. Skills in planning, attention to detail and working under pressure are all key in this position. The successful candidate must be willing to support the branch by promoting new services and products as required. You must be confident to build customer relationships and have the ability to establish their needs.
