Job summary

Aspire Locums (Northwest) Limited is seeking a motivated Pharmacy Dispenser to support the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications and to provide excellent customer service within a community pharmacy.

You will label, package, and check medicines, manage stock and records, and handle queries with professionalism. NHS and GPhC procedures must be followed, with a focus on accuracy and patient care.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (essential).
• Experience in community pharmacy (essential).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills (essential).
• High accuracy and attention to detail (essential).
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure (essential).
• Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (e.g., ProScript, RXWeb) (essential).
• Customer-focused attitude and professional demeanour (essential).

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and dispense prescriptions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
• Label and package medicines according to legal and company standards.
• Manage stock levels, check expiry dates, and maintain accurate records of medications.
• Answer customer queries both in person and over the phone in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ensure prescriptions are processed safely and efficiently, including controlled drugs and private prescriptions.
• Support the pharmacist with administrative duties such as filing, ordering stock, and maintaining patient records.
• Adhere to all NHS, GPhC, and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the pharmacy.
