Job summary

Aspire Locums (Northwest) Limited is seeking a Pharmacy Dispenser to support the pharmacist with prescription preparation, labeling, and dispensing in a busy community pharmacy. You will deliver friendly customer service and help ensure smooth daily operations.

The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services, prior community pharmacy experience, and familiarity with pharmacy software. You will work as part of a team under pressure while maintaining high accuracy and

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services is essential.

• Familiarity with pharmacy software systems such as ProScript and RXWeb is essential.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare and dispense prescriptions under supervision of a registered pharmacist.
• Label and package medicines according to legal and company standards.
• Manage stock levels, check expiry dates, and maintain accurate records of medications.
• Answer customer queries in person and over the phone in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ensure prescriptions are processed safely and efficiently, including controlled drugs and private prescriptions.
• Support the pharmacist with administrative duties such as filing, ordering stock, and maintaining patient records.
• Adhere to NHS, GPhC, and company policies and procedures.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the pharmacy.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the pharmacist in the preparation and dispensing of medications, offering excellent customer service, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent (essential)
