Job summary

Superdrug is hiring for a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant/Dispenser role at Melton Mowbray. The 36-hour week runs 9-5 across four days, with holiday cover on Wednesdays/Saturdays. A 3-month fixed-term contract with possible extension is offered, and training is provided for those new to the field.

Salary is £13.80 per hour for Dispenser and £13.00 per hour for Trainee Pharmacy Assistant. Prior experience isn’t required, just enthusiasm for healthcare and customer service.

Qualifications

• Either NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent) or a keen interest in healthcare to begin your pharmacy career as a trainee.
• No prior experience required – just a passion for healthcare and customer service.
• A friendly, positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment.
• Delivering exceptional service across both the pharmacy counter and dispensary.

We welcome applications from qualified Dispensers and those with no pharmacy experience who are eager to begin their career as a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant.

Location: Melton Mowbray

Hours: 36 hours per week, 4 days Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9-5pm with flexibility to cover holidays on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
