Job summary

Superdrug Stores plc in Buxton is hiring for a position in our pharmacy team, open to qualified Dispensers or those starting as a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant.

Hours are 8 hours per week, with Saturday 9am–5pm; salaries: £13.80 per hour for Dispenser, up to £13.00 for Trainee. We welcome applicants with or without prior pharmacy experience and will support development throughout your career at Superdrug.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing or equivalent (or interest to start as Trainee).
• Passion for healthcare and customer service.
• Friendly, positive attitude with eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment.

We welcome applications from qualified Dispensers and those with no pharmacy experience who are eager to begin their career as a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant.

Location: Buxton

Hours: 8 hours per week, working every Saturday 9am till 5pm.

Salary: £13.80 per hour (Dispenser) / Up to £13.00 per hour (Trainee pharmacy assistant)

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment
• Delivering exceptional service across both the pharmacy counter and dispensary
• Ensuring customers and patients are served with care, efficiency, and professionalism
• Maintaining high standards of presentation and merchandising

We’re Looking For:

• Either NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent) or a keen interest in healthcare to begin your pharmacy career with us as a trainee pharmacy assistant.
• No prior experience required – just a passion for healthcare and customer service
• A friendly, positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well in a team or independently
• Confidence to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Passionate about learning and open to training in additional services
