Job summary

Superdrug Stores plc in Newport is hiring for a part-time trainee pharmacy assistant or qualified dispenser. The role covers counter sales, dispensary support, and delivering excellent customer care. Flexible shifts include 4x6h or 3x8h with Saturdays.

NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing is valued; no prior experience required beyond enthusiasm for healthcare and customer service. Join a network of over 200 pharmacies and 90+ health clinics, with opportunities for training and development and staff

Join Our Superdrug Pharmacy Team - Whether You're Qualified or Just Starting Out!

We welcome applications from qualified Dispensersand those with no pharmacy experiencewho are eager to begin their career as a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant.

Location: Newport

Hours: 24 hours per week. We can be flexible over 4 days of 6 hour shifts or 3days of 8 hour shifts. But will include Saturdays.

Salary: £14.20 per hour (Dispenser) / Up to £13.00 per hour (Trainee pharmacy assistant)

What You'll Be Doing:

• Supporting the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment
• Delivering exceptional service across both the pharmacy counter and dispensary
• Ensuring customers and patients are served with care, efficiency, and professionalism
• Maintaining high standards of presentation and merchandising

We're Looking For:

• Either NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent) OR a keen interest in healthcare to begin your pharmacy career with us as a trainee pharmacy assistant.
• No prior experience required - just a passion for healthcare and customer service
• A friendly, positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well in a team or independently
• Confidence to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Passionate about learning and open to training in additional services
