Job summary

Superdrug in Newport is hiring for a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant or Dispenser. The role is 24 hours per week with flexible arrangements over 4 days of 6 hours or 3 days of 8 hours, including Saturdays.

No experience is required—NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing is preferred, but a passion for healthcare and customer service is valued. Comprehensive training and development are provided, with a supportive team across UK pharmacies.

We welcome applications from qualified Dispensers and those with no pharmacy experience who are eager to begin their career as a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant.

Location: Newport

Hours: 24 hours per week. We can be flexible over 4 days of 6 hour shifts or 3days of 8 hour shifts. But will include Saturdays.

Salary: £14.20 per hour (Dispenser) / Up to £13.00 per hour (Trainee pharmacy assistant)

What You'll Be Doing:

• Supporting the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment

We're Looking For:

• Either NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent) OR a keen interest in healthcare to begin your pharmacy career with us as a trainee pharmacy assistant.
• No prior experience required - just a passion for healthcare and customer service
• A friendly, positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well in a team or independently
• Confidence to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Passionate about learning and open to training in additional services
