Job summary

Superdrug is hiring at Monmouth for a part-time Trainee Pharmacy Assistant. This role welcomes applicants with or without pharmacy experience and offers a clear progression path from trainee to dispenser. You’ll support counter sales and stock, delivering excellent service while learning in a supportive team environment.

Hours are 16 per week with flexible cover for Saturdays. Real-time earnings tracking and extensive employee benefits accompany development opportunities in a national pharmacy

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing or equivalent is required or being pursued.
• No prior experience needed – passion for healthcare and customer service welcomed.
• Friendly, positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Ability to work well in a team or independently.
• Confidence to thrive in a fast-paced environment and openness to training in additional services.

Responsibilities

• Support the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment.
• Deliver excellent service at the pharmacy counter and in dispensary.
• Ensure customers and patients receive care, efficiency and professionalism.
• Maintain high standards of presentation and merchandising.

We welcome applications from qualified Dispensers and those with no pharmacy experience who are eager to begin their career as a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant.
Location: Monmouth
Hours: 16 hours per week, As flexible as possible to include Saturday holiday cover.
Salary: £13.80 per hour (Dispenser) / Up to £13.00 per hour depending on age (Trainee pharmacy assistant)

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment

We’re Looking For:

• Either NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent) OR a keen interest in healthcare to begin your pharmacy career with us as a trainee pharmacy assistant.
