The hourly rate for this role is £13.32 and up to £15.05 across selected locations within London.

About the Opportunity

As a Dispenser working within one of our stores, you will be a key member of our pharmacy team, supporting the pharmacist and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy and healthcare services.

Within the healthcare department, you will build strong relationships with patients by listening and understanding their needs. Your responsibilities include greeting customers, dispensing prescriptions, ensuring the safe sale of medicines, and providing advice to support patients in making informed health decisions. Your role makes a difference every day.

This role is based in-store within the UK. Remote applicants will not be considered, and applications from outside the UK will only be processed if relevant UK qualifications and right to work can be confirmed and evidenced.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Dispensing prescriptions safely, including ordering medicines, labelling, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
  2. Collaborating with healthcare professionals in your store to manage and deliver pharmacy services.
  3. Providing care and advice to patients about medicines and referring queries to the Pharmacist as needed.
  4. Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to support safe and legal dispensing.
  5. Keeping up-to-date with store innovations and complying with operational processes.
  6. Supporting patients in managing their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste.
  7. Working with new technologies to improve dispensing processes, enhance patient safety, and free up time for patient interaction.

You will receive regular training to develop your healthcare knowledge and have opportunities for career advancement, including training as a Pharmacy Technician or store leadership roles.

Minimum Requirements
  1. Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent), or currently working towards it, with the first year of an MPharm qualification completed.
  2. Current and valid UK right to work. This role does not qualify for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in community pharmacy.
