Job summary

Rye Medical Centre is seeking a qualified Dispenser (NVQ 2) to join a friendly team on a full-time basis. Salary is £12.90 per hour and the role carries permanent, full-time working pattern.

You will work within a team of six, providing high quality, patient-centered primary care, handling prescriptions, stock control and patient queries. NHS Pension Scheme and on-site parking are available.

Qualifications

• Qualified to NVQ 2 Dispenser.
• Minimum one year experience in Pharmacy or Dispensary environment.

Responsibilities

• Process and interpret prescriptions accurately.
• Pick items efficiently, accurately and check own work for errors.
• Identify erroneous components on an order.
• Ensure effective stock rotation and that products picked have an acceptable shelf life.
• Working knowledge of GPhC regulations on dispensing practices (labelling, storage, hygiene requirements).
• Complete documentation as required by organisational procedures and regulatory standards.
• Preferred experience with Monitored Dosage System (MDS).

Rye Medical Centre is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and qualified Dispenser (NVQ 2) to join our friendly team on a full time basis.

Main duties of the job

• To pick and dispense medication
• Stock Control - ordering
• Handing out prescriptions
• Dealing with queries - telephone and face to face
• Information input onto surgery system

Job responsibilities

The successful candidate will need to have a Pharmacy Dispenser NVQ level 2 qualification, with at least 1 year experience in working in Pharmacy or Dispensary environment.

You will be working as a part of a friendly and dedicated team to deliver the Practices core ethos: to provide high quality, patient focused, primary healthcare in a responsive, supportive and courteous manner whilst ensuring all staff and patients are treated with dignity, honesty and respect.
