Job summary

Rye Medical Centre is seeking a qualified Dispenser (NVQ 2) to join our friendly team on a full-time basis. The role involves dispensing medications, stock control, and handling patient queries in a supportive GP practice environment.

You will work within a six-person team, contributing to high-quality patient care, with on-site parking and eligibility for the NHS Pension Scheme. Prior experience in pharmacy or dispensary is preferred.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy Dispenser NVQ level 2 qualification required.
• At least 1 year of experience in pharmacy or dispensary environment.
• Strong communication and patient-focused approach.

Job responsibilities

The successful candidate will need to have a Pharmacy Dispenser NVQ level 2qualification, with at least 1 year experience in working inPharmacy or Dispensary environment.

You will be working as a part of a friendly and dedicated team to deliverthe Practices core ethos: to provide high quality, patient focused, primaryhealthcare in a responsive, supportive and courteous manner whilst ensuring allstaff and patients are treated with dignity, honesty and respect.

Core duties but not limited to the role are:

Process and interpret prescriptions efficiently and accurately

Pick items efficiently, accurately and check own work for errors

Identify erroneous components on an order

Ensure effective stock rotation and that products picked have anacceptable shelf life

Working knowledge of GPhC regulations on dispensing practices (i.e.labelling, storage, hygiene requirements)

Complete documentation as required by organisational procedures andregulatory standards

Preferred experience with monitored Dosage System (MDS)
