Job summary

Hillarys Blinds Limited is hiring a Despatch Operative at our Glaisdale site on a 6 month fixed term contract. You will sort goods by date, prepare items for dispatch, and assist with loading and unloading inter-site vehicles.

This is a hands-on, physical role that rewards accuracy and teamwork. You will use basic IT systems, perform stock checks, maintain a clean safe workspace, and take ownership of tasks while meeting daily targets.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse/despatch or similar environment is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy under pressure.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills required.
• Good communication with colleagues and team leaders.
• Ability to work on your own initiative and manage workload.
• Willingness to contribute to team success.

Responsibilities

• Sort and organise products by date for stock rotation.
• Safely load and unload vehicles and handle products with care.
• Prepare goods for dispatch with accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

• Carry out basic stock checks and ensure product integrity.
