East Suffolk Council is seeking a Technical Officer in its Private Sector Housing team to provide technical advice and support to people with disabilities who want to adapt their homes. You will work with Occupational Therapists to design practical solutions and oversee work delivered by contractors.

A full driving licence is essential as inspections cover the East Suffolk District, with most visits in the Lowestoft area.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of building construction.
• Ability to analyse and solve new and complex problems.
• Clear communications skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical advice and support to individuals living with a disability seeking home adaptations.
• Liaise with Occupational Therapists in designing reasonable adaptations.
