• Registered healthcare professional with NMC/HCPC registration.
• Minimum of one year's relevant post-registration clinical experience.
• Strong written and verbal clinical communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a clinical caseload efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments of claimants.
• Perform thorough evaluations to determine how a claimant’s disability or health condition affects their ability to undertake work-related tasks.
• Assess individuals with a range of physical, mental health, cognitive, and sensory impairments.
• Produce impartial, accurate, and high-quality written reports using a designated IT system.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and assessment criteria.
• Adhere to all professional standards, including Safeguarding, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Data Protection, and Risk Management.

Disability Assessor – Nurses, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists

Location: Canterbury

Hybrid remote roles available across the south of England.

We are currently recruiting for hybrid remote Disability Assessors who would like a role that involves working from home and in the office with no weekends, bank holidays, or long shifts. Join an organisation dedicated to exceptional service and positive change.

Role Summary

The Disability Assessor conducts Work Capability Assessments (WCA) on people with long-term health issues. The role requires producing comprehensive, evidence-based reports for the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). The assessor is not responsible for benefit entitlement decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments of claimants.
• Perform thorough evaluations to determine how a claimant’s disability or health condition affects their ability to undertake work-related tasks.
• Assess individuals with a range of physical, mental health, cognitive, and sensory impairments.
