Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland seeks a Technical Director in Asset Management to lead strategic advisory work across highways, rail, energy and local government. You will shape asset strategies, manage long-term investment planning and regulatory compliance for major infrastructure clients.

You will mentor consultants, drive data-driven decision making, and build strong client relationships while delivering high-impact, sustainable solutions across sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience in asset management consultancy and advisory services.
• Strong capability to lead and deliver complex assignments.
• Knowledge of asset management practices and ISO 55000.
• Experience with UK infrastructure regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic asset management frameworks across infrastructure sectors.
• Provide technical leadership on complex projects and compliance.
• Direct analysts to inform long-term capital investment programmes.
• Assess client asset management and define future state improvements.
• Lead advisory commissions and business-case development for major clients.
• Oversee tendering to produce high-quality submissions.
• Integrate EAM/CMMS/DSTs to improve asset performance.
• Mentor consultants and foster a high-performance culture.
