Job Description:

JOB PURPOSE:

Acuity Knowledge Partners is seeking a Director, Sales & Business Development in the EMEA team, based in London. This managerial role leads the Europe Asset Management business development function.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of capital markets, with experience in buy-side sectors such as asset management, hedge funds, or private wealth, and an established network in the industry. Alternatively, proven success in leading teams selling knowledge process outsourcing services to asset management clients is acceptable.

This is a quota-carrying role requiring hands-on leadership in pipeline creation and deal closures, with experience in managing high-performance sales teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage high-quality enterprise sales cycles, including prospecting, leveraging relationships, qualification, demand generation, creating value propositions, and negotiating complex agreements.
  • Set team goals, manage performance, and drive growth through existing and new clients.
  • Achieve sales targets by selling to new accounts and leveraging existing relationships for high-value services such as Investment Research and Compliance Guideline coding.
  • Negotiate with senior-level clients to promote outsourcing and offshoring benefits.
  • Coordinate with offshore and nearshore teams for client coverage.
  • Manage quarterly sales pipelines proactively.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and protect existing accounts, with some travel required.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a leading university.
  • Experience in front-office roles within Asset Management, Investment Banking, Investment Research, or Private Equity, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in pitching at senior levels within asset management firms is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of outsourcing or high-value consulting services is a plus.
  • Proven ability to develop new business opportunities and sell solutions to senior decision-makers.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, relationship management, and deal-closing skills.
  • Creative problem-solving and ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams with high attention to detail.
