Job summary

Checkout.com is seeking a senior Engineering leader to own the Risk, Verification & Compliance decisioning platform. You will drive the architecture for automated decisions, partner with Risk, Compliance and Legal, and lead a team of engineers and managers to scale critical systems across all markets.

You will shape the platform that underpins onboarding, verification, and monitoring, ensuring speed, compliance and auditability while maintaining strong collaboration with product and business

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-level engineering organisations through growth and change.
• Transforming critical platforms while the business runs.
• Experience building mission-critical decisioning or rules platforms at scale.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the engineering vision for Risk, Verification & Compliance.
• Lead the design and delivery of a scalable decisioning platform.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal and Product to align on regulatory requirements.
• Drive automation and explainability of decisioning with auditable workflows.
• Scale detection, screening, and monitoring systems for high-volume onboarding.
• Recruit, mentor and develop ICs and Engineering Managers.
