Job summary

Checkout.com is seeking a Partner Engagements Manager, Compliance Strategy in London. You will own the external compliance partner engagements, lead governance, and translate regulatory requirements into practical actions across banking partners, schemes and strategic stakeholders.

You will manage complex engagements, coach junior staff, and drive improvements in the compliance operating model while collaborating with Legal, Risk, Product and regional teams to ensure timely, accurate outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in compliance, risk, or regulatory roles in payments, fintech or a regulated financial-services environment.
• Experience leading external partner, banking, scheme, audit or due-diligence engagements.
• Ability to translate regulatory/partner expectations into practical requirements and plans.
• Proven track record delivering cross-functional, multi-stakeholder initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own the Compliance Strategy partner-engagement portfolio with priority across banking partners and schemes.
• Establish and continuously improve the operating model for partner engagements and governance.
• Lead annual KYC/AML partner reviews, onboarding, RFIs, and other external engagements end-to-end.
• Represent Compliance in partner meetings with clear regulatory defensibility and risk focus.
• Provide oversight of evidence, narratives, policy summaries and delivery status updates.
• Coordinate schemes, product launches and geographic expansion obligations with partners.
• Translate partner feedback into strategic roadmap priorities and process improvements.
• Build cross-functional relationships to align delivery across Compliance, Legal, Risk, Product, Ops, Finance and Tech.
• Maintain governance over risks, issues, decisions and remediation; escalate as needed.
• Coach Senior Analyst(s) and develop a scalable partner-engagement framework.
