Vertical Recruitment Limited is partnering with an ambitious independent construction consultancy in Preston to appoint a Director-level Quantity Surveyor. This senior role will influence strategic direction, client leadership and the growth of the practice.

You will deliver QS and cost management services across a varied project portfolio, lead a team, win work, and strengthen client relationships while helping shape the firm’s future growth.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification and active post-chartership experience.
• Strong consultancy background with Quantity Surveying expertise.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and win work.
• Experience leading and developing teams and mentoring staff.
• Commercially astute with strong technical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of Quantity Surveying and cost management services across a varied project portfolio.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute to work-winning activity.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Quantity Surveying team.
• Oversee technical quality and commercial performance.
• Support strategic planning and growth of the consultancy.
• Represent the business externally and help develop market presence.
