Job summary

Word on the Curb is seeking a strategic leader to shape and grow its social offering. The head of social will set direction across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and emerging platforms, lead a team of editors and creators, and drive client work and new business.

You will own commercial strategy, spot opportunities, shape pitches, close deals and grow existing accounts, while collaborating with creative and analytics to ensure social output delivers measurable value.

Qualifications

• Experience in an agency or editorial publishing environment with a social media focus.
• Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok and YouTube within brand partnerships.
• Proven track record of winning new business and growing client accounts.
• Excellent presenter and storyteller with stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Set overarching strategic direction for social across owned channels and client work.
• Define and own commercial strategy for the social practice tied to agency growth.
• Identify new revenue opportunities with existing clients and new sectors.
• Lead and contribute to new business pitches from opportunity to close.
• Work with Creative to shape commercial proposals that combine research, creativity and social capability.
