Job summary

S&P Global is seeking an Associate Director of Finance – Sales Compensation (Data Architecture & Strategy) to lead the data foundation for commission calculations and sales analytics. You will govern a centralized data platform, drive data integrity, and partner with BI for actionable insights across the sales organization.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in sales compensation, data architecture, data governance, or financial systems.
• 2+ years in a people leadership role managing analytical teams.
• Hands-on experience in large-scale database design, schema development, ETL management, and performance optimization.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation for reconciliation and adjustment workflows (e.g., Python/Pandas, VBA, or Alteryx).
• Experience building real-time Power BI reports and presenting data quality metrics to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect and govern a centralised, SOX-compliant data platform serving as the single source of truth for commission calculations and reporting.
• Act as main point of contact for sales leadership on data-related matters, detecting anomalies and implementing automated reconciliation processes.
• Lead and develop a team of data and compensation analysts, setting goals and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Translate complex commercial contracts into structured data frameworks and integrate into workflows for operations and reporting.
• Partner with BI and Systems Analytics to shape Data Warehouse architecture and ETL workflows for validated inputs.
• Communicate real-time performance analytics to senior leadership and explain data architecture to non-technical stakeholders.
