Job summary
S&P Global is seeking a highly analytical Sales Compensation Analyst to automate complex compensation processes, model financial impacts, and maintain governance and audit trails. You will build automated reconciliation engines using Python, Alteryx, and SQL, and develop enterprise Power BI reporting to support Finance and Commercial leadership.
The role requires 5+ years in sales compensation analytics, advanced SQL, Python/Pandas or Alteryx, and expert Power BI capability, all within a
Qualifications
- 5+ years in sales compensation analytics, financial modelling, or data governance within a multinational
- Advanced SQL for data modelling, validation, and multi-table reconciliation across systems
- Hands-on Python/Pandas or Alteryx to build automated reconciliation workflows and data pipelines
- Advanced Power BI development including DAX, star schema, and Power Query M transformations
- Experience within SOX-compliance frameworks and governance controls
Responsibilities
- Translate complex deal structures into structured algorithmic logic and standardised rules.
- Model financial impact of proposed compensation changes and run scenario analyses.
- Build automated reconciliation engines and variance detection models.
- Design governance frameworks with full audit trails and SOX documentation.
- Develop enterprise Power BI reporting suites and real-time dashboards.
- Convert legacy workflows into SOPs and provide clear, plain-English explanations.
