Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking Director level Project Controls professionals to deliver across major infrastructure projects in the UK. Roles suit specialists with proven backgrounds in rail, aviation, power, water/utilities, highways or defence.

Responsibilities include end-to-end service delivery, KPI-based performance improvement, and leading multiple project controls domains while guiding senior stakeholders to achieve time and cost targets within quality standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical degree and management qualifications.
• Experience in planning & scheduling and cost management.
• Experience in risk management, change control information management and reporting within complex projects.
• Ability to manage and mentor a team of specialists, enabling training and development for junior staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver project controls services for large, complex and mega projects across the UK.
• Monitor and apply performance management techniques, including KPI usage to improve project performance.
• Lead and manage multiple project controls functions including risk, schedule, cost, scope and change.
• Influence senior stakeholders to improve performance.
• Act as the day-to-day project team interface to meet client objectives within time and cost targets and quality standards.
• Support the PMO centre of expertise in developing and implementing project controls services.
• Ensure projects are delivered to the required quality, on time and within budget.
• Ensure project controls delivery aligns with the client’s appointment terms.
