UK Multi-Site | FMCG | Strategic Leadership Role

A leading FMCG business is looking for an experienced IT Director to take ownership of its technology strategy and operations across multiple sites. This role is ideal for a senior technology leader who understands enterprise systems, infrastructure, and the importance of aligning IT with business goals.

With a strong focus on SAP (S4 Hana, PLM, EWM, BTP, IBP), Microsoft 365, PowerBI, Oracle EPM, Azure, and hybrid infrastructure, this role is central to driving digital transformation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the UK-wide IT strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and global standards.
Lead day-to-day IT operations across manufacturing sites, covering infrastructure, cybersecurity, networks, and cloud.
Oversee and mentor a local IT team while managing relationships with global service providers and support partners.
Own and manage IT budgets, balancing strategic investment with operational efficiency.
Lead the local implementation of enterprise applications, especially within the SAP and Microsoft ecosystems.
Evaluate, adopt, and implement AI technologies to streamline processes and reduce manual workloads.
Build strong partnerships with senior leaders to ensure IT enables and accelerates business growth.

Experience and Qualifications

Strong background in enterprise technology, particularly across SAP (S4 Hana, PLM, BTP, IBP), Microsoft 365, PowerBI, PowerApps, and Oracle EPM.
Experience in multi-site operations, ideally within food, FMCG, or manufacturing environments.
Proven leadership of infrastructure upgrades, cloud migration, and system integration projects.
Clear and confident communicator, with the ability to influence at all levels and translate technical detail into business value.
Hands-on, pragmatic approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Emotionally intelligent, resilient, and experienced in leading teams through change.
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

Experience with SAP system integration and legacy upgrades.
Understanding of industrial computing and factory environments.
Proven ability to deliver measurable results through IT transformation initiatives.
