Tide is hiring a Director of Engineering to lead the KYX engineering organisation behind KYX. Our vision is onboarding to Tide in minutes, with scalable, governed AI and risk scoring that meets regulatory standards.

You will oversee onboarding identity, due diligence policy, and vendor orchestration across the onboarding journey, plus continuous KYX and risk scoring. You will lead backend, frontend, data science and ML engineering across multiple hubs, unify previously separate lines, and drive

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering in identity onboarding or regulated decisioning domains.
• Proven ability to translate platform investments into conversion and due diligence improvements.
• Experience deploying ML in production at scale and monitoring model performance.
• Familiarity with regulated environments and cross-functional risk/compliance teams.
• Strong judgement on org design, delivery, and data architecture.

Responsibilities

• Own KYX engineering strategy and organisation across onboarding, risk scoring and continuous monitoring.
• Lead backend, frontend, data science and ML engineering across global hubs.
• Own KYX Scoring & ML as a shared capability for onboarding and ongoing decisioning.
• Scale agentic AI in regulated workflows with governance and oversight.
• Collaborate with KYX Ops, KYX Policy, Second Line of Defence, Product and IAM.
• Deliver measurable outcomes: higher automation, better due diligence, lower cost per member.
