Capital One UK is seeking a Head of Data Management in Nottingham to lead a team of Data Stewards and Data Management professionals. You will ensure data is governed, discoverable, high quality and used to drive decisions across the organisation.

You will implement data quality frameworks, manage regulatory requirements (GDPR) and oversee the data lifecycle. The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with senior stakeholders and a strategic data mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience in Data Stewardship, Governance and lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of applicable policies and regulation (e.g. GDPR).
• Deep understanding of data applications and ability to solve complex data issues.
• Experience with database management, data modelling and data quality processes.
• Technical knowledge: Cloud Data Products, SQL, Python.
• Financial services or technology company experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop a team of data professionals to govern data across Capital One UK.
• Develop data quality frameworks with clear metrics and success criteria.
• Drive adherence to regulatory and Enterprise policy requirements.
• Demonstrate data risk awareness and work with risk officers and DPOs.
• Develop and own a data management strategy with clear benefits for the business.
• Influence leadership to ensure data management accountabilities are understood.
• Oversee end-to-end data lifecycle from ingestion to archiving.
• Build relationships with Enterprise partners for UK requirements.
• Promote data-driven decision making across the organisation.
