Director of Business Development EMEA

Location: Remote / Europe
Team: Growth / Sales
Reports to: CRO / San Francisco

About the Role

We’re looking for a fast, strategic, analytical, energetic, super driven, product obsessed Business Development Leader to spearhead Layer's adoption in EMEA region, working closely with Art Directors, Product Managers, Producers and Gaming executives to help update game art pipelines into AI powered ones, closing opportunities and scaling Layer's happy customer base. You'll own the full BD funnel — from identifying high-value targets and building relationships to closing deals and ensuring a smooth handoff to Customer Success. Good news is that Layer is already a popular tool entering its growth phase and you'll likely spending more time closing and onboard than lead generation. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities in target markets and good news: we have a great system in place and a great pipeline already.
  • Develop tailored pitch decks and outreach strategies for high-potential leads
  • Own and manage the BD pipeline: from initial contact to closing. You’ll then handover to Customer Success after making sure the partner is fully onboarded.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to refine value propositions and messaging.
    Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings as BD Leader as well as Public Speaker, yes we would love you to be the voice of the company.
  • Track key metrics (conversion rates, pipeline velocity, etc.) and report on progress regularly.
  • Work on case studies and co-marketing opportunities with partners.
  • Provide strategic input on pricing, packaging, and market expansion opportunities
Requirements
  • Personal interest in game art pipelines whether as an artist or hobbyist or hands on experience in managing creative content for games, following industry trends about live ops or marketing creatives.
  • 8-10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or sales (preferably in SaaS, gaming, or creative tech)
  • Strong communicator with a knack for storytelling and persuasion
  • Experience in public speaking at business conferences
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas , please come ready with your numbers and references.
  • Experience negotiating complex deals with enterprise or mid-market client s
