We’re Hiring: Business Development Director – Electric Mobility (Europe / Remote)

Location: UK or Europe (Remote)

Team: Donut Lab – Verge Motorcycles Group

Reports to: VP of Business Development

Are you a commercially driven operator with a background in electric vehicles, robotics, aerospace, or industrial tech? Do you thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments where autonomy, execution, and impact matter?

Donut Lab is the innovation engine of Verge Motorcycles – focused on next-generation electric drive systems and lightweight vehicle applications. We’re building the future of mobility, one breakthrough at a time.

We’re now looking for a Business Development Director to join our core team and lead commercial growth across a portfolio of strategic OEMs, innovators, and emerging platforms in the EV and mobility ecosystem.

What You’ll Do:

• Own strategic customer acquisition and relationship management across Donut Lab’s verticals

• Identify and convert high-impact business opportunities with OEMs of all sizes

• Navigate complex technical-commercial discussions with engineering-led decision-makers

• Act as the commercial face of Donut Lab – from first intro to deal close and beyond

• Collaborate closely with product and technical teams to shape winning offers

• Bring discipline, urgency, and clarity to a high-growth environment

What We’re Looking For:

• 8+ years in commercial, program, or business development roles (automotive, aerospace, rail, defence, EV, robotics)

• Demonstrated experience leading strategic customer growth from zero

• Technical credibility in electric propulsion, hardware systems, or manufacturing

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills – across functions and geographies

• Self-starting mindset, comfort with ambiguity, and cool head under pressure

• Based in the UK or EU (remote role with travel as needed)
