AstraZeneca UK Limited is hiring a Director, Data Automation to lead a team of data engineers and automation specialists. You will design, deliver and scale modern data products and automated workflows powering research insights and operational excellence.

You will partner with domain experts and technologists to embed best-in-class engineering practices, CI/CD, and data quality into our digital transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• 8+ years in data engineering, data platform development, or related disciplines.
• 2+ years leading technical teams and delivering complex data initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and automation engineers; establish standards and manage delivery.
• Design scalable data pipelines and data products; ensure reliable ingestion, transformation and delivery.
• Identify and automate manual data processes; drive workflow orchestration and self-service capabilities.
• Implement data quality, governance and compliance; align with enterprise data standards.
• Collaborate with business and analytics teams; translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
