AstraZeneca plc is seeking a Director, Data Automation to lead a high-performing team of data engineers and automation specialists. You will design, deliver and scale modern data products and automated workflows to ensure trusted data powering research insights and operational excellence across a global enterprise.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform development, or related disciplines.
• 2+ years leading technical teams and delivering complex data initiatives.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale data platforms and automated data solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS preferred).
• Knowledge of orchestration frameworks (Airflow, Data Factory, Prefect).
• Experience with Spark or distributed data processing technologies.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a team of data engineers and automation engineers; establish engineering standards and ways of working.
• Design and oversee scalable data pipelines and data products; ensure reliable ingestion, transformation, integration and delivery of data.
• Lead adoption of workflow orchestration, automation frameworks and self-service capabilities; develop monitoring and quality controls.
• Implement data governance, quality, metadata and lineage capabilities; promote secure, compliant data practices.
• Collaborate with domain experts, product leaders and technologists to embed best-in-class engineering practices.
