Job summary

AXIS Capital seeks a senior Head of Insights & Analytics – Claims to lead delivery of data, analytics and AI solutions across Claims teams. You will translate priorities into data products, align with Reserving, Actuarial and Finance, and drive measurable business value.

You will partner with Claims leadership, deliver predictive insights, champion self-service analytics, and build a high-performing team while upholding governance standards and a culture of rigor and ethics.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years in analytics/BI/AI, with 3+ years leading teams.
• Experience partnering with Claims, Insurance Ops, Actuarial or Reserving in insurance.
• 3+ years in the insurance or reinsurance industry, collaborating with Claims functions.
• Proven ability to translate business strategy into practical analytics/AI solutions.
• Experience delivering measurable outcomes through analytics or AI capabilities.
• Experience managing a team of at least 6 people including team leads.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary Data & Analytics partner for Claims leadership.
• Translate business needs into a prioritised portfolio of insights, analytics and AI initiatives.
• Own the delivery of Claims reporting, dashboards, analytics solutions and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Drive the evolution of Claims MI to predictive and prescriptive insights.
• Promote self-service analytics and scalable data products for trusted information.
• Collaborate with Reserving to align analytics priorities across Claims.
• Ensure analytics initiatives link to business outcomes.
• Lead and develop a team of Analytics professionals aligned to the Claims value stream.
• Ensure solutions comply with data governance and AI governance standards.
