Job summary

AXIS Capital is seeking a data and analytics professional to support the Reserving team by turning complex data into clear insights, dashboards, and repeatable tools. You will collaborate with Reserving, Finance, Actuarial, Claims, Underwriting, and Data & Analytics to understand needs and deliver trusted analyses.

You will help shape modern analytics, explore AI opportunities, and ensure governance and actuarial judgment.

Qualifications

• Experience in data, analytics, actuarial, finance, or a related insurance or reinsurance role.
• Experience helping to design, improve, or deliver data and analytics solutions for business users.
• A deep understanding of insurance or reinsurance data, including how claims, policy, exposure, premium, underwriting, finance, and actuarial information can be used to support analysis.
• The ability to lead through influence, work with technical teams, and bring people together around a shared outcome.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to make complex data and analysis clear, practical, and actionable.

Responsibilities

• Attend your local office at least three days per week to meet and build relationships with colleagues and the wider business.
• Engage with Reserving, Finance, Actuarial, Claims, Underwriting, and Data & Analytics to understand reserving needs and turn them into useful dashboards and datasets.
• Design and deliver dashboards, datasets, and self-service tools that give clear views of loss development, claims experience, exposure changes, and indicators.
• Promote practical and responsible use of AI and analytics with governance and actuarial judgment.
• Create clear visualizations and communicate reserving insights concisely for actuarial, finance, management, and business discussions.
