Job summary

Gartner is seeking a Director Analyst within the Assurance Practice to lead internal audit thought leadership. You will craft must-have insights, mentor junior analysts, and engage executives with strategic recommendations across data analytics and IT risk domains.

You will collaborate with global teams, influence research agendas, and drive client-focused outcomes through compelling written and verbal communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant internal audit or industry experience.
• Ability to assess and develop audit coverage strategies for complex technology-related risks (e.g., cybersecurity, IT governance).
• Direct experience leading IT audits, including audits of cybersecurity, IT governance, technology operations, systems, data, or other technology-related risks.
• CISA certification or comparable credential preferred.
• Knowledge of internal audit leader role and industry perspective.
• Experience with audit management software tools.
• Ability to develop innovative and dynamic audit planning processes and collaborate across risk teams.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative, thought-provoking, and highly leveraged insights content for senior leaders in audits of data analytics efforts.
• Develop new insights and ideas through thought leadership and provide actionable approaches for client needs.
• Perform in-depth analysis to identify root causes and reframing client challenges to drive strategy.
• Demonstrate thought leadership and establish insights positions within the analyst team.
• Lead research and predict market trends to provide actionable insights for clients and vendors.
• Offer clients actionable advice via virtual or face-to-face interactions.
• Create and deliver high-value presentation materials for Gartner events and client briefings.
• Support Sales by acting as the voice of the market to drive engagement with clients.
