Job summary

Gartner is seeking a Director Analyst to lead insights in Internal Audit within the Assurance Practice. You will craft innovative, must-have content, lead client discussions, and mentor junior analysts while collaborating across Gartner’s insights network.

Travel up to 25% may be required as part of engaging with executives and clients. You will develop audit coverage strategies for complex technology risks, such as cybersecurity and IT governance, and contribute to Gartner’s research agenda

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred
• 10+ years of relevant internal audit or industry experience
• Demonstrated ability to assess and develop audit coverage strategies for complex technology-related risks (e.g., cybersecurity, IT governance, AI)
• Direct experience leading, performing, or overseeing IT audits, including audits of cybersecurity, IT governance, technology operations, systems, data, or other technology-related risks
• CISA certification or a comparable technology audit, risk, or security credential is preferred
• Experience with internal audit leadership role and interaction with Chief Audit Executives
• Exposure to or working knowledge of common technology solutions used by internal audit leaders
• Ability to lead and develop innovative internal risk assessment and audit planning processes
• Experience working across risk and control groups to improve coordination and risk coverage
• Ability to travel up to 25% (where applicable)

Responsibilities

• Create innovative, must-have insights content for senior leaders in data analytics within audit functions
• Develop new insights through thought leadership and actionable client-focused approaches
• Conduct in-depth analysis to identify root causes and reframing for strategic progress
• Demonstrate thought leadership across the team and establish insights positions
• Provide provocative, independent insights to influence Gartner's research agenda
• Research, analyze and predict market trends to provide actionable insights
• Offer clients with actionable advice via virtual or face-to-face meetings
• Create and deliver high-value presentation materials for Gartner events and client briefings
• Support BTI and Sales by providing market voice to drive client engagement
• Provide high-quality content peer reviews and collaborate with the Insights community
• Mentor and coach junior team members and foster client-centric engagement
