Aviva plc is seeking a Direct Sales Associate in an on-site role across Eastleigh, Norwich, and Sheffield. The role focuses on following up qualified outbound opportunities and handling warm inbound calls to guide customers through health insurance sales.

Direct Sales Associate – Salary £29,000

Location: Eastleigh, Norwich, Sheffield

A bit about the job:

The successful individual will be following up qualified outbound opportunities as well as answering warm inbounds calls to support and guide our customers through their health insurance sales journey. You will support the end-to-end sales process and policy enrolment for our direct customer base, understanding the customer needs and making recommendations based on their requirements.

In this role you will need to quickly build rapport and capture a customer's attention on an outbound call while also remaining positive, motivated and focused, even when faced with rejection. Additionally, you will be required to tailor your approach to different customer personalities and situations and utilise excellent communication skills.

This role will require shift rotations between 9am-6pm and will provide in-depth product training and continual support.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Excellent communication skills and previous experience in a Sales role is preferred but not essential, however previous experience in a customer service role is essential.
• The ability to be empathetic towards our customers, supporting them through potentially difficult period whilst making their sales journey easy for them and building their loyalty.
• A good fact finder – you will ask the right questions at the right time to get the customer the correct policy to meet their needs.
• Meticulous and detail orientated – checking facts and asking questions will enable you to weigh up information and make accurate recommendations about the policy.
• Knowledge of insurance products / financial services would be beneficial but again no essential.

• Starting salary of £29,000
• Bonus opportunity - 8% (C grade) of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva’s.
